Chocolate Oat Milk

You can turn any plant milk into a chocolate milk by adding some cocoa powder!
Experience Level: Intermediate

Ingredients

  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 3 cups ice-cold water, plus additional for soaking and rinsing
  • 8 pitted dates
  • 4 tbsps cocoa powder

Serves 4.

Directions

  1. FOR ROLLED OATS: Add oats to a bowl. Cover with water. Place in the refrigerator to soak for 2 hours. FOR STEEL CUT OATS: Soak one cup of oats in water and place in the refrigerator overnight, or at least 8 hours.
  2. Drain and rinse the oats well with ice-cold water.
  3. Close the juicer's smart cap. Load oats, dates, and cocoa powder into the juicer.
  4. Pour water through the lid opening periodically.
  5. Open the smart cap to release the oat milk. If desired, strain the milk for a thinner texture. Store airtight in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Tip

Avoid soaking your oats for longer than the recommended times to prevent them from becoming slimy.
