Orange Immunity Juice & Carrot Cake Pancakes

Two recipes is better than one! Make a juice and then pancakes using the juice pulp!

Orange Immunity Juice

Experience level: Beginner

Ingredients

  • 2 sweet oranges
  • 3-4 carrots
  • 4 sweet apples
  • Ginger
  • Turmeric

Serves 3.

Product Needed

Kuvings Whole Slow Juicer, assembled with the juicing strainer.

Directions

  1. Peel your oranges and wash your ingredients thoroughly.
  2. Load ingredients into the juicer. If needed, cut ingredients to fit the hopper.
  3. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 72 hours in an airtight container.

Carrot Cake Pancakes

Experience level: Beginner

Ingredients

  • ½ cup orange immunity juice pulp
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • Pumpkin pie spice (to taste)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 egg
  • Syrup

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients except syrup in a bowl and mix.
  2. Heat a lightly buttered griddle or pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle.
  4. Cook until batter is no longer runny. 
  5. Flip and cook until browned on the other side.
  6. Serve with syrup and your choice of toppings.

Vegan Substitutes

  • Sugar → Coconut sugar
  • Milk → Plant-based milk
  • Egg → Flax egg
